Rushus is primarily made up of Ilya Lipkin, guitar player extraordinaire. He's accompanied by two equally talented individuals, Evgeniy Tkachev on percussion and Vladimir Nikulin playing bass. Together, they create this sonic fusion of instrumental jazz that is filled with melodic rhythms and unconventional beats. Stories isn't just perfect for a Saturday night, it serves as great background music for almost any relaxing, quiet afternoon.

Deied: Formation of chaos

Deied is a German electronic duo composed of n1n0 and din-tah aeon. (Don't ask me how to pronounce those.) The duo is set on creating some of the darkest and coolest industrial, electronic sound there is. According to their website, this is the duo's 11th collaboration, although there are only 7 albums available in Jamendo as well as their official website that's up for free download. Formation of Chaos is filled with 10 dark electronic tracks that are often infused with melodic vocal work and layers of instruments. Basically, it's an album that combines a whole lot of synth, dark, symphonic musical elements that makes you feel as if you're moving through the deep dark woods under a full moon sky.

After only four months since his last release ('Money Doesn't Own Thought'), Hip Hop artist, M-Dot is back with a brand new album, ‘Making Doubters Over think’. Initially, I have to admit that I rarely listen to this genre of music; however, in saying this, I also have to confess that I have thoroughly enjoyed this album. Furthermore, the fact that M-Dot is the winner of the 2010 Boston Music Awards "Hip-Hop Artist of the Year" and winner of the 2010 Boston Phoenix "Best Hip Hop Act," comes as no surprise. To put it bluntly, this dude is bad-ass. These titles are well deserved and the talent in which he exhibits is highly prevalent within ‘Making Doubter’s Over Think’.

These Chicago natives certainly know how to create music that sticks. Filled with noise, progressive elements and calculated rock, the album takes you on a trip to the unknown and back. Musically, the guys incorporate different elements into their sound. From hard rock, prog and even punk, the sound merges into a coherent sound that satiates any alternative indie rocker out there.

Ornery Little Darlings create sexy indie rock that they describe as "“a highly improbable ornery-as-hell-love-child between Billie Holiday and Lou Reed." Although in places, it does sound like this, there are more elements to their songs than this. Made up of mainly Emmi Chen, Jason Ewers, and Paul Puschautz; the group's sound is characteristic of acoustic guitars, sultry female vocals and a 50/60s dirty rock vibe happening all over. It's one of those albums that make an impression after you hear the first track.
