Shannon Wardrop: Medicine

Backed by a three-piece band, Shannon Wardrop delivers fresh, punchy melodies in her latest EP Medicine. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter from the outskirts of London takes her inspiration from The Rolling Stones, Small Faces, Jefferson Aeroplane, and The Kinks. Released last June 2, 2013, Wardrop’s sounds enters a new dimension of alternative music with soft vocals and sharp arrangement.

Evan Uhlmann: Blue Lipstick

Evan Uhlmann has a knack for creating fun pop songs, complete with cheeky lyrics and a catchy melody. It's the type of songs you won't mind playing even if you aren't big on pop music at all. Born in Chicago, Uhlmann now calls New York City his home. While studying in Wales, he was under the tutelage of Ray Davies, among the founding members of the British band, The Kinks. Just last year in September, he released his first debut record and called it, Blue Lipstick. Combining pop with acoustic indie rock guitar work, the record contains songs that are playful and with good composition.

Kit Oh Nein!: KON!

Feel-good psych punk with a touch of indie rock is one way to describe Kit Oh Nein!'s music. The three piece band hails from Detroit/NYC and seems to know their way around the sound. Led by frontman Ryan Milligan from The Hotwalls, KON! (an acronym of the band's name) is the group's debut record. The album contains 10 tracks that run circles around punk, pop, and psychedelic indie rock. Enveloped in raw energy as well as a hazy indie rock club vibe, it's hard to believe the entire set of tracks were recorded in only 3 days. This is one of those debut albums worth checking out if you like dirty, cerebral indie punk rock.

The Singletons by The Singletons – British Mod Influenced Spanish Scenesters

No nonsense garage rock with a surfer's flair. When hearing The Singletons for the first time, you would automatically think it was an updated version of the Kinks. A mix of surfer music, brit pop rock garage combined with slightly offbeat enunciation. However, The Singletons are in fact from Barcelona and released their brand of music only about 2-3 years ago. Although this type of music has been played and re-played by various other bands, there's no doubt that it sill holds its appeal under the hands of this band. Check out their 11 tracks and judge for yourself.

Inward Eye – 4 songs full of passion for high-voltage and rebellious rock style

Bring out those funky electric guitars and start the head bang, Inward Eye gives back to their fans through their debut EP. Inward Eye EP is all about rocking the house with a classic rock sound, which struck other musicians to the side. The EP consists of 4 hard rocking songs, Shame, Blind Paranoia, You Know I Know, and Times They Arent Changing. Inward Eye is composed of the Erickson brothers: Dave (vocals/bass), Kyle (guitar/vocals), and Anders (drums). Under the influence of several rock gods, they do know what it means to play the instruments and sing their powerful compositions enough to blow rock enthusiasts away.
