Chasing Eidolon: Chasing Eidolon

Chasing Eidolon is a bunch of lads from Canada trying their hand on alternative pop rock. Although they sound like a more power pop (boy) band, they do incorporate alternative rock elements to their music. Initially formed in 2008, this is the group's first album. It's a combination of sweet, slightly emo vocals, beautiful melodies and a hint of rockish rude.

Davy Long: Babies (Side A)

Downtempo folk acoustic group, Davy Long, brings in sleepy lullabies in "Babies." This acoustic, folk pop album is filled with quiet, lofi tracks with a touch of psychedelia. For the band's first official album, it seems to be treading on the right path. Davy Long compiles music that's ambient, delicate and a bit eclectic. It serves as the perfect mood setter for a lazy, gloomy morning.

Abscondo: Fo(u)r Colors

After deciding to move from Seattle to the country of Slovakia, Abscondo, started recording his first few indie pop acoustic tracks. According to the artist, his moniker not only serves as a nice artist name but it also reflects his own lifestyle. Fo(u)r Colors is a 4 track EP that includes songs from his new and upcoming album. His first release Midnight Show is also available for free download and is quite popular in Jamendo.

jespa: jespa ep

British acoustic folk pop act, Jespa or j*e*s*p*a "are an acoustic folk, soul and blues duo based in london, playing their hearts out to everyone who'll listen." That description from their Myspace might sound generic but they do have a great set of cuts to back them up. Their 5 track self-titled EP is filled with lush and melodic cuts that make you wish you had it playing as background music for every quiet and lonely moment you ever have.

Benoit Stanek: 18

Soothing folk pop album that takes you on a journey to the French aisles. With beautiful acoustic guitar and soft melodic strumming, this album makes you feel as if you're sitting somewhere in a gorgeous French garden, enjoying a warm, sunny day. Benoit Stanek is an 18 year old student at the Lycee Louis-le-Grand in Paris, considered to be one of the most demanding secondary schools in France.

babyPaul: Moodswings

This German pop rocker certainly knows how to deliver punchy, cool and catchy pop rock tracks that are great for easy listening. Yet another side project, babyPaul, includes 11 pop rock tunes in this compilation. All the cuts in Moodswings are easy to listen to, relaxing, and catchy. It also features nice vocals from babyPaul and considered to be one of the more popular albums in Jamendo.

Logan Whitehurst and the Jr. Science Club: An Introduction To

Quirky songwriter and musician, Logan Whitehurst, has been known to many people as the dude that sings about robot cats and how it never rains on a guy named Alex. He's performed in several bands including being a founding member of indie rock band, The Velvet Teen. Although Whitehurst's career was cut short because of his illness, he released some catchy yet quirky tracks in his solo project; dubbing himself as Logan Whitehurst and the Jr. Science Club.

Nikoo: EP

Nikoo is noise. If you love noise pop with verses and choruses sung in chants, then this is the album you've been waiting for. Nikoo is a Dutch band that loves their pop music but only a wee bit louder, okay, much louder. Infused with dirty guitars, drawling vocals and great pop hooks and melodies; this EP certainly makes a good introduction for the band. Definitely not bad for an EP that was recorded in just three nights. Take a listen.
