Camino

Want more options when it comes to your browser? Camino could offer you plenty. Created and formatted based on Mozilla's Gecko layout engine, the browser provides you with all the features regular Mac users need and so much more. This open source browser was initially created to serve as an alternative to the Firefox browser for Mac. It offers all the basic features users have come to expect from any browser, from pop-up blocking to movable tab windows; but it also adds a couple of new and personal features. Need something to help you understand all those complicated math equations in a breeze? Octave can help you out in that department. If you think that MatLab is awesome and want a similar type of software minus the dent in your pocket, Octave is your man. The program is the open source version of the commercial math program, MatLab. Despite being offered absolutely free, Octave still manages to stand up to its expensive counterpart. It provides an easy way for you to solve linear and non-linear mathematical problems. The program also works together with its paid counterpart so using it is a breeze if you are already familiar with the former. Fract

Fract is Myst-like game where you are immersed in this wonderful Tron inspired world. You solve puzzles and explore this glorious colorful world. The game consists of point and click controls making it quite interesting and unique. The game was developed by Richard Flanagan and among the finalists for the 2011 IGF Student Showcase Finalist. Fract is done entirely in 3D and features a really atmospheric world that takes away the player and immerses him into it. This little software can help users capture notes, images or information using the computer, web or phone and make them easily accessible wherever they might go. With Evernote, it's easy to create to-do-lists, manage passwords, find particular images and so much more. It's a great software that's definitely handy especially for those looking to make their day more productive and convenient.

Alchemy

So here it is. A little-big free application that, from what I see, already has some dedicated followers; me included. Alchemy is an experimental drawing application with an aim of letting us visually explore a wider range of possibilities. Think of it as your pen and a napkin at the time when you are searching for some long awaited inspiration at the local cafe; a pen and a napkin with an addition of some amazing features that will transform your thoughts into the most creative outcome.
