Teleflorists: Full

The Teleflorists are as shoegazer rock n' rollers as they come. Released a couple of years back, this 2008 EP contains 5 tracks that are decidedly alternative post indie noise nowave. Although the quality of the live recording can easily be dismissed as unimpressive, this recording does contain several tracks to love and like. Full is an album that any noise shoegaze punk rocker will enjoy playing loud and proud.

Absent Feet: Soonrise

Relative newcomers, Absent Feet, has come out with their 5 track short album, Soonrise, through Jamendo. The album is filled with pop rock tracks that resound with slightly alternative pop vocals. Though they might look like the newest boyband on the block, the group's first foray into the indie music scene is actually worth checking out. Definitely an album that won't disappoint pop rockers out there.

Exceptional Edward: Lost at Sea

It's not Ben Gibbard! Exceptional Edward's vocalist does sound a lot like him though. And even though their first debut album, Lost at Sea, may not be released under Deathcab's name, it certainly sounds promising. Lost at Sea from Exceptional Edward was released some time in 2008. Serving as their full length debut, after releasing, The Exceptional EP. The album is filled with swelling acoustic rhythms infused with poppy, sweet vocals.

This new effort comes doused with 19 hot tracks that are true to K. Sparks fashion. It's filled with catchy beats, great skills and an awesome vibe to it. Like his previous releases, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, this compilation also sees several talented artists and producers contributing their skills. Artists and musicians like Wordsmith, Laëtitia Dana, Jeff Chery, and Ahmad , to name a few, pitch in their talents to complete this record. If you love the sound of K. British acoustic folk pop act, Jespa or j*e*s*p*a "are an acoustic folk, soul and blues duo based in london, playing their hearts out to everyone who'll listen." That description from their Myspace might sound generic but they do have a great set of cuts to back them up. Their 5 track self-titled EP is filled with lush and melodic cuts that make you wish you had it playing as background music for every quiet and lonely moment you ever have.

Happiness: Tar… Feathers Split

Tar...Feathers Split is a short 4-track teaser EP from Swedish groups Happiness and Tar...Feathers. Producing and showcasing lo-fi indie pop rock tracks that make you dance and squirm like a psyched up indie geek; these two bands sure know how to get you up and moving. Not only do these two groups share the same band members but they also have a penchant for creating 80s dance rock music, with a tad more funk and way better compared to the oldies. The actual album is worth checking out as it features 5 tracks from the Tar...Feathers and about 6 songs from Happiness. For the meantime, this short 4 track teaser EP is a great listen and serves as the perfect introduction to these talented bands.
