All India Radio: Free Me (Remixes & Outtakes)

All India Radio is a four piece crew from the land down under. Even if you've never heard of them, chances are you might have encountered their songs from TV shows like CSI: Miami, One Tree Hill or Australia's premiere series, Bondi Rescue. They've released 8 albums since 2000 and continue to impress as well as win over more listeners thanks to their ambient sound. Their mix of hypnotic downbeat electronica serves as a lush soundscape that listeners can easily get lost in. Free Me (Remixes & Outtakes) contains a collection of released/remixed and previously unreleased songs that's offered by the boys for free.

Phototaxis: Pretty Ugly

Phototaxis is a special band that's made primarily of Yael Feldinger (lead vocalist and singer;) as well as Itay Tsuk (composer, arranger and pianist.) They're joined together by the talented crew of Nir Blum, Roy Cheled, Yael Geva and Neta Cohen Shani. The band is only a couple of years old, but they seem poised for success; having their debut record come out to critical praise in their home country of Israel. Fusing a lush set of tracks that echo jazz, blues and a trip hop atmosphere; Pretty Ugly is a strong record that aims to please its listeners and does it successfully.

Makkadessia: Moonou

Progressive techno and dance don't get enough lovin' in the mainstream market but it doesn't mean it's not worth taking a listen to. Makkadessia is a duo made up of Yauhen Bardouski and Maxim Kuharenko; two young producers from Belarus. Moonou is the duo's latest release and hauls in a flurry of the house, techno, progressive and dub sounds with them. Released under Wavelike.net, the label specializes in offering electronic music that are licensed and shared for free under a Creative Commons License.

Fifty Grand: Fifty Grand

Fifty Grand's music can be best described as experimental dark electronic drone. The person behind the sound is Emily Onofrio, aka Fifty Grand. This is one of several records Aural Sects has released for their 2012 roster. Auralsects is a netlabel that works with independent artists in different departments of electronic music, from "dance, electro, pop, ambient, witch, juke, noise and anything we find compelling," according to the collective.

Actraiser: Phantomile EP

Actraiser's Phantomile EP is a resurrection of sorts for Cut Music. After taking a mini-hiatus, they're back with an explosive and equally catchy free EP for all of you electro ambient obsessives out there. Bristol-based producer Actraiser delivers an magnetic five track compilation that flourishes with mystical dubstep tracks while sticking to classic ambient rhythms and beats. This the first for the artist and as expected from previous Cut Music recordings; it's setting great groundwork for future releases.

Rufio: For Lights

Combining hip hop with his signature dub and synth style, Sacramento native, Rufio definitely delivers a different kind of vibe with his compilation. Better known as Ru [are you,] For Lights is the first compilation from the artist. It was initially conceived as a record that hopes to capture and explore the different facets of beauty in life. However, the album transformed over time and the artist decided to create it as a sort of story; "Almost like a soundtrack to a movie that hasn’t been produced yet," he relates.

Tom Phonic: Good Luck Knowing

Filled with funky 8-bit style sounds and a host of futuristic beats, Good Luck Knowing is proving to be quite a record. Containing 8-tracks that were written and produced by Tom Phonic; most of the songs were created with friends as well as with specific inspiration in mind. The producer/DJ has been creating music for the past 12 years now. He's a St. Louis native but moved to the Big Apple in 2005. Here, he found a flourishing electronic underground scene that paved the way for his music to spring forth.

Cult Classic Records Present: Friends and Family

One of the newest kids on the block, Cult Classic Record is an online netlabel that aims to share and promote new talent in the world of music. Mainly focusing on trip hop, jazz and ambient beats, the label has quite a few artists under their roster. Friends and Family is an attempt to compile some of the best tracks from these musicians, and showcase what they have to offer in just one place. It's offered absolutely free over BandCamp and is an awesome way to discover new artists in the genre.

Superpoze: The Iceland Sound EP

Twenty year old French instrumentalist, Superpoze is making his second appearance here in the Frostclick blog. His previous album, Lost Cosmonaut, introduced us to his brand of downtempo hip hop inspired tracks. The Iceland Sound EP is his latest effort and it's as exciting as his previous releases. His resident sound is still present. Although this time, he incorporates a more laid-back, chillout style that's both soothing as well as hypnotic.
