John Milton: Paradise Lost

One of 17th century’s most notable pieces of literature, John Milton’s Paradise Lost takes on the story behind humankind’s first disobedience resulting in the banishment of Adam and Eve from paradise. Throughout the epic poem, Satan is set in different positions that underline his constant efforts to be in battle with God in order to defeat Him eventually. At the beginning of the story, Satan, together with other fallen angels, creates Pandemonium in hell to serve somewhat like their home turf, their headquarters wherein they decide to destroy humankind as their assault.

Notepad ++

Windows has undergone numerous changes, but no improvement has been done for Notepad. Fortunately, there is Notepad++, a freeware substitute. The software is designed for programmers, but even casual users will benefit from it. The easiest way to describe Notepad++ is as a combination of WordPad and Notepad. But it isn’t exactly a clone of both. One of its most important features is support for multiple tabs. When using Notepad++, you’ll be able to work with several documents simultaneously. C programmers will appreciate its line remembering feature too.

Hypatia Lake: Ouroboros

It's easy to spot which iconic rock band has inspired much of Hypatia Lake's' sound. From the magnificent dirty guitars, those shouty vocals and a dark, sinister vibe; Ouraboros channels quite a bit of Sabbath and Led Zeppelin in its tracks. Hailing from Seattle, Ouroboros is the fourth record from the crew. It's a concept album of sorts as the band has created unique tracks that revolve around the epic battles and excursion of protagonist, Rose Marie. Serving as a nice throwback to 70s rock and expansive concept records, the album flourishes and entices listeners to enter into its sonic landscape.

One Step Forward

At first you wonder why this film won the 48 hour film project, was selected to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival, and gathered awards like the judges had no choice. It began, after all, with plain looking person who appears happy yet dirty and in his long sleeved polo shirt and slacks. That is of course until you reach that part that made your heart skip a bit.
