Brutal Chase

Brutal Chase, published by Mutant Bear Games, is an exciting smash ‘em up racer for Windows Phone 7. The premise is basic: you’re a cop and you have to get behind the wheels of a police car. Your goal is to ram your patrol car against the criminal’s vehicle until they can’t drive anymore. That’s right; no pulling over or reading of rights; just bash them into submission.

Kidd Seven: Hear Me Out

Brought up from Compton and Pasadena, rapper, Kidd Seven shares his latest mixtape in preparation for his debut album. Hear Me Out was released last April 2012 and comes with 16 tracks. It's a nice compilation for those who love hip hop and need something to pop on their cars as they drive around. Filled with great beats, Hear Me Out contains a nice mix of samples and cool laid back beats coupled with good rap skills, to satisfy any listener.

123D Sculpt

Traditional sculpting is a difficult and messy business, but 123D Sculpt by Autodesk simplifies things a lot. Designed specifically for the iPad, it comes with a tutorial that will get you up to speed. You can create human heads, dinosaurs, birds and other complex shapes. There are tools for smoothening, pulling and pushing a model. Use your fingers to twist, pinch or swipe. These sculpting tools can be selected directly. You can sculpt the mesh or the model. Some creases appear on the reverse side. However, this really isn’t a problem because there is a symmetry mode.

Chris Rubeo: Ships of Sticks and Twine EP

Chris Rubeo's music is the kind you'd normally hear at some quiet coffee shop as you enjoy your cup of joe and soak in the good day. The short EP is comprised of 5 simple tracks that flourish with great harmonies, interesting instruments and a beautiful, laid back vibe. The Boston singer not only sings solo but also performs for another sweet band called, The Sparrows. Ships of Sticks and Twine was released last September 2011 and offered as a free download over at the singer's BandCamp page.

3×3 by Nuno Rocha

3x3 by the talented Nuno Rocha delivers us a quick laugh to brighten up those gloomy days. Awarded and selected by numerous film festival both in Spain and other countries including a recent stint at the 27+One Film Festival in Russia, this short comedy is a splendid mix of wit and great craftsmanship. The film opens with a night watchman who spends time practicing on a basketball court. He shows his expert abilities to a simple janitor, who then uses an unlikely way to perfect shooting a ball into a basket.

This Public Life: The Banquet

Coming from Melbourne, Australia, This Public Life makes their way to the musical spotlight through their acoustic driven outfit. But do not get fooled by their south-eastern suburb origins because they offer tunes with the industry credibility of the alternative and underground culture. They are heavily influenced by bands like Interpol, Sleepy Jacksons, as well as Turin Breaks and The Doves so you can expect the same sentiments from This Public Life. The Banquet is a six track album from which they have conceived the cover art from a constellation reference.

Nitronic Rush

Nitronic Rush sets a new standard when it comes to survival car racing games. In the game, your vehicle is configured as an anti-virus program. You race through nine stunning tracks, cleaning up unstable Nitronic City. This means you have to drive through obstacles, jumping side boots, do barrel rolls and other maneuvers. On certain occasions your car gets wings to fly around. The graphics are inspired by the 1082 movie Tron, but the developers have added their own touch. In terms of quality, the graphics are comparable to other pricey racing games. Players can upload “Ghosts” and compare time and scores against each other. The techno soundtrack blends in perfectly with the frenetic pace.
