Ivan Black: Genuit Machina EP

Based in Mexico, Breathe Compilations has long been a haven of eclectic electronica and dark, dub waves. The label has been around since 2008 and they've become a platform for several releases; offering them all for free download under a Creative Commons License. Ivan Black's Genuit Machina EP consists of 4 tracks that paint ethereal and dark soundscapes; making you feel as if you're walking through a dark, slightly menacing, tunnel in the middle of the night.

Anitek: Sae Yeon

Trip-hop producer, Anitek, has been regularly making an appearance here on the pages of the Frostclick blog, he's dropped by before with two of his previous records in tow as well as being one part of the duo, Tab & Anitek. Trained in the classical arts, Anitek is a proficient pianist; having played for more than 15 years. He also plays cello,guitar, clarinet, drums, bass and is also a scratch DJ on the side. Sae Yeon is the latest project to come out from his bag of tricks. It's an album that bears plenty of trademark Anitek grooves that both old and new fans will enjoy.

SoUnD WaVeS: Running Not Skipping

LA DJ, SoUnD WaVeS (Michael Martinez) might not be a household name just yet but he can create catchy tunes worth churning out over the dancefloor. SoUnD WaVeS started DJ'ing back in 1999 where he used the moniker, DJ Brownsugar. Combining his skillful mixes along with this personal artwork, he creates a lush wall of sound with a nice artistic appeal. Initially inspired after seeing Daft Punk live, he has pursued creating music that triggers "a chain reaction of body movement, which then evolves into dancing. "

Broke For Free: Layers

Layers is the latest chillout release from Tom Cascino, aka Broke For Free. With a prolific number of remixes and releases under his belt, this Santa Cruz artist is sharing his latest compilation absolutely free. The album is a beautiful mixture of synths, drums and mellow instrumental beats that make for a good soundtrack during your nap time or if you just want to zone out and not have to worry about flipping the music controls every couple of minutes. Containing 10 free tracks, the album is offered as a free download under a Creative Commons license.

Lost Tapes: Lost Tapes

Dream pop never sounded so good than from this Spanish duo. The Lost Tapes is a short yet fun compilation you can play while on the road and when chilling on that quiet evening. This self-titled debut comes with only four tracks but it's enough to make you want to listen to it on repeat. It is a gathering of sweet and absolutely charming set of cuts that should be worth the listen. Lost Tapes is made up of friends Pau Roca and RJ Sinclair. Their collaboration is borne out of their love for music and cinema. Even though they are hundreds of miles apart, the two started sharing simple notes as well as computer recordings. Eventually, they started sharing compositions and created a compilation worthy of any indie pop lover's admiration.

Hassen Daoues has been around the industry for awhile. He's released several singles/compilations under different pseudonyms like Anagramist and A Textura From Heaven. Today, he's back with a different moniker; Killed By A Word. This time he brings in tow his latest compilation, Kids With No Life Manuals. More experimental, the Tunisian artist describes it as a collection of tracks that focuses on the study of textures and samples.

Knoxband: Emerging From The Shadows

For a mere side project, Knoxband easily impresses with its eerie and quiet electronic/post rock/diy touch. Spearheaded by Vru Patel, the outfit first came out back in 2005. Combining a host of musical influences, the album is filled with a variety of genres; all packed into a tight, sonically pleasing sound that easily lets listeners drift into the unknown world.
