All India Radio is a four piece crew from the land down under. Even if you've never heard of them, chances are you might have encountered their songs from TV shows like CSI: Miami, One Tree Hill or Australia's premiere series, Bondi Rescue. They've released 8 albums since 2000 and continue to impress as well as win over more listeners thanks to their ambient sound. Their mix of hypnotic downbeat electronica serves as a lush soundscape that listeners can easily get lost in. Free Me (Remixes & Outtakes) contains a collection of released/remixed and previously unreleased songs that's offered by the boys for free.

iHandysoft is known for making a lot of useful apps for the iOS and Android, and iHandy Level Free is one of them. This nifty app turns your device into an alignment tool. This spirit level app has no fancy features, but it does the job right. IHandy Level can be used for a variety of household tasks like roof pitch calculations. Amber Rubarth: Free EP

Amber Rubarth's music goes well with that morning cup of coffee as you stare out the window and enjoy the quiet morning. Thanks to this mesmerizing capacity, it's no surprise that Rubarth hailed by Deli Magazine as the Best of NYC Songwriter. Her songs spark a sense of pop adventure while also exploring the quaint charm of a girl in the big city. She's released several albums so far but this is the first free compilation she's put out. The Sunpilots: King of the Sugarcoated Tongues

The Sunpilots music echo a bunch of genres at the same time. From Dream Theater-like epic sweeps, to Jars of Clay pop rock sound and even a hint of 90s alternative rock; the band attempts to paint quite a big wall of sound. Hailing from Australia but currently based in Berlin, the group is a progressive quartet made up of Raj Siva-Rajah (vocals), Bob Spencer (guitar), Andy Nielsen(Drums) and Justin Kool (bass.) King of the Sugarcoated Tongues is a concept album that marks the band's full immersion into the progressive world.

MADE BED

Liberate some love in Made Bed, a five-minuter short that combines voice and vision. Written and directed by Kevin Oestenstad, this litte piece of visual masterpiece conveys raw emotion about courage, life, and great men. Mainly using narration, the filmmakers takes us on a tour that savors on picturesque images and brilliant shots. Much is given credit to Kevin Oestenstad and Tony Swaney's acting prowess. The undeniable talent that they have showcased served as the backbone for such a polished film.

UltraDefrag

UltraDefrag doesn’t have a flashy interface, but it is effective as far as free defraggers go. It was created by the UltraDefrag development team as an open source alternative to other commercial defragging utilities. The default interface is graphical, but there is a command line option. This utility is available in 32 and 64 bit versions, so choose the right one for your system. You can run it as Windows boots up. Or you can just set up a schedule so it runs on a specific time. UltraDefrag is very simple to use. Launch the program and choose the drive you want to defrag, analyze or optimize. The defrag option is self explanatory. The Analyze option displays a graphic sector table. It shows where on the hard disk your files are.

Jacke Karashae: The Places I Go

The Places I Go may not sound as polished as you would expect but it's clear that the passion and heart for music is there. The young musician behind this record, Jack Karashae is "an independent recording artist who loves the intricacies of multigenre music, is the Mad Scientist of Music." This 10-track record might be a bit unpolished in places but it contains upbeat energy as well as an interesting mash-up of genres. From piano ballads to indie pop and occasionally, heavy rock; the album bears nice little surprises here and there.

UberSocial

UberSocial for Twitter has been called the Swiss Army Knife of Twitter apps. This nifty little software from Ubermedia, Inc allows you to create a "favorite users" list. You will never miss a tweet from your friends again. For those who get a lot of tweets, this feature will save time scrolling through hundreds of messages. But the app has many other features. You can mute users or hashtags for a specific period (or permanently). Menus can be customized so only the most used items appear. Facebook users will be glad to know that they can post Tweets there.
