There are a lot of music players for Android, but few offer the kind of customization that Phonograph Music Player does. Developed by Karim Abou Zeid, it offers all the essential features you would need, but it also comes with a lot of other elements that other mobile music players do not have.
The interface is clean and intuitive, plus you have the option to customize its color. The app comes with the standard playback controls and you can set up the album grid according to your device screen size.
Phonograph downloads album covers automatically so you do not have to do it manually. Once you have created your playlists you can use its tag editor for an entire album or for single tracks. Want to switch to Now Playing mode? Just tap the white bar and swipe the screen to play the next track.
You can rearrange the playlists as you like, and by swiping the bottom tile you will see a list of the tracks. There is a lock screen option and you can even add a blurred special effect to the album cover.
Phonograph Music Player has a 5 band equalizer with audio surround and bass for superb sound. There are customizable presets and it integrates with Last FM. A lot has been said about the aesthetics of the app and it definitely scores high in this regard.
While music players are a dime in a dozen, Phonograph Music Player is worth a look for its ease of use and depth. It is also open source and 100% free with no annoying ads.
