Mezzamo’s “Aloneluna” – indie pop/new wave release from Synthematik

If you feel like drifting off to somewhere relaxing and fun, you can count on the music of Mezzamo to take you there. Mezzamo, the best newcomer of the International Indie Festival Stereoleto in 2009, is one of the freshest and favored new wave/indie pop groups in Russia. Their creatively compelling video clips appear on various Russian alternative TV channels. The group was launched in 2006. They have released a Russian-language album called 'Mnogotochie' and an English-language single 'Everything You, which were both well-received internationally. Working the vocals that makes you feel so light and buoyant is the wonderful Shura Zhuravleva.

Battle City game? Why not try this game out instead. BZ Flag is a fun 3d tank battle game which lets players go against each other in a network. Essentially, the rules are simple. You get 5 teams, red, blue, green, purple and black (rouge tanks). You score a win if you blow up the tank of the other team while you score a loss if you hit your own team member. Simple, right? Despite the simplistic gameplay, BZ Flag is surprisingly an addictive and entertaining game. It's a great way to beat the stress of if you're simply hanging out with a few buddies and have nothing better to do.

Solid indie pop rock band that incorporates shouty vocals with dancy rhythm. The Walt is the product of former band We vs. Death, Kismet and Dawn of Awakening. Something we did not have is their latest EP and a mixture of loud indie punk rock sound that gets anybody up and about. Something we did not have is the quartet's first EP after playing for 4 years together. Recorded under indie label, Beep! Beep! Back Up The Truck, all 5 tracks are available for free download under a creative commons license. If you are into plenty of head bobbing and loud indie/punk rock, take a listen and enjoy.

Samandal is a Lebanese, French and English comics slash magazine that caters to a variety of styles, themes and interests. It is also available in all three languages. Samandal magazine is released quarterly and the group that puts together the comics accepts contributions from almost artists and writers almost anywhere in the world. Moreover, the publication contains a creative commons license. Samandal Comics "aims to lift the stature of comics to that of mature art form capable of tackling more than superheroes and their baffling hairdos."

Helldorados – Just Rock

Hardcore rock and roll that spells out what it means to have balls. Okay, so maybe I'm just a sucker for bands that don't take themselves too seriously, but still make fun, kickin' music. Helldorados is definitely this type of band, hence, falling for them is not very difficult. Just Rock is a compilation of 11 tracks that are as rock and roll as can be. It's a mix of late 80s glam rock, with the chant vocals, and guitar licks. Although it might not be "spectacular," the album is good fun to listen to especially if you want to pass away the time.

Klement – New Life (Compilation)

French producer and singer Klement compiles 15 tracks in his portfolio - some of unreleased and some previously released by different netlabels between 2003 and 2009 - to celebrate his music. This album is under Ego Twister netlabel. Klement's sound is a fusion of electronica, pop, and new wave. His beat sounds promising, but the mixing leaves a lot to be desired. I listened to the tracks once, and promised myself to not do it again. It was sort of frustrating for me because each track starts okay but then the notes get really messy, the beat lost and meaningless. Each song loses its way before half a minute is over. The mixing could definitely be improved, too.

The compilation producers boast of a carefully designed selection that includes the best of the past and present indie artists. The tracks mostly came from different netlabels, but one track is exclusive to X . This track is from Sudio, who remixed "Sonic Impact" just to render more edge into this compilation.
