Phrenia is a Japanese pop singer that has recently made her debut EP available for free download on Jamendo. It's under a creative commons license and one of the few compilations from a Japanese artist straight pop lovers can enjoy.
The album is filled with five electronic dance pop tracks that reminds me of those wonderful Japanese anime soundtracks. Phrenia has actually released a previous single on Jamendo as well, titled Yami No Conduct.
Compared to her first release, this self-titled debut features tracks with a less prominent rock flair; instead it's mostly all pop. Nevertheless, it's still very enjoyable if you adore J-pop.

ZENITH is a retro-futuristic steam-punk thriller, about two men in two time periods, whose search for the same grand conspiracy leads them to question their own humanity.
Starting from a fictional recreation of Stanley Milgram's Obedience to Authority experiment (see more on the experiment in Background and Influences), Zenith plunges into following two parallel stories - of father and son - now, and 40 years into the future. Part 1 of Zenith was released little over a month ago and can be found here.

Kruunu is a nice little platformer that was released on January 18th. This is the first project for Finnish game developer, Jukio Kallio, after going into game development full time.
The game lets you play as a tiny blue character whose goal is to climb a tower and take the crown. Why are you aiming to climb this really high tower just to receive this crown? Apparently, elders in the land believe that whoever gets it will become the next ruler. Hence, your adventure and trials begin. Even though Kallio admits that the game was simply a part time project done in a span of months, it doesn't look like it was rushed or done haphazardly. It's actually a neat little platformer that almost anybody can enjoy.

A wonderful fusion of rock, funk, folk, jazz, brass with some great sounding guitar, percussion, violin, viola, keyboards, trumpet, sax, bagpipes!?, and yes, even harmonica. It seems that Rei Teytum have it all, except of course for an English version of their bio anywhere on the Internet.
So it is times like this that I wish I spoke more languages to bring you important information about the artists. But since that will simply not happen lets focus on their fantastic album, "Viajeros" ("Travelers"), and the tiny bits of band history I was able to get (courtesy of my friend Google Translate).
