Either/or Records: Either/Or and More Vol. 3

We’ve featured tons of compilation records here on the blog before. Adding one more can’t hurt, right? So here’s a little something from indie label, Eitherorrecords. The company is described as a label created by musicians for fellow musicians. Specializing in a variety of indie rock, punk, emo and summer rock bands, the label is the perfect haven for new artists.

Karmafish: Life Support

A hodgepodge of rock, alternative, grunge, noise and progressive rock, Life Support is a pretty good album to check out. This is the latest release from a singer/songwriter and producer from England who dubs himself as, Karmafish. Although there's not much info on who this guy is, he sure has quite a number of albums under his belt. Life Support is his latest release following 4 previous records. All of which are available for free download on Jamendo and under a creative commons license. This careful menagerie of sounds and noise is perfect for any rock lover. The artists' skillful and creative take on various genres of rock is impressive at best and certainly warrants a listen.

Juanitos – “Best Of”

Juanitos is an exotic rock-n-roll band from France. The members include (if my translation from French is correct): Juan (vocals and organ), the Blob (surfing guitar), Dave (groovy bass), Chang (country guitar) and Jyle Malone (drums & bongos). On the "Best Of" you can hear a bit of reggae & soul with nu-Latin Brazilian beats, but the 50s "Beach Boys" feel of the album can be noticed in almost every track.
