IWBTG (I Wanna Be The Guy)

I Wanna Be The Guy or better known as IWBTG is not exactly a simple love story. Well, it is about a dude going on an adventure in order to become THE guy. It doesn't stop there, I'll tell you off the bat that it is extremely difficult. However, if you are a glutton for punishment and love being pushed around into complicated, near impossible feats; you'll probably hold this game close to your heart. Another thing to note is that if you are a hardcore NES or SNES fan, you'll be grinning from ear to ear when playing this game. IWBTG combines modded levels of your favorite NES games like Megaman, Battletoads and even Contra; creating a one-of-a-kind, hair-pulling experience. Definitely a hardcore game worth checking out whether you loved Nintendo or not.

Tap Tap Radiation

Tap Tap Radiation is a free iPad game that will get you tapping on your free time. The game is much like Dance Revolution only this time, you let your fingers do the tapping. Developed by Tapulous, it is a fun and addictive game that's made even better for its iPad release. There are more than 30 free tunes that you can play in the game but thanks to its addictive quality, it won't be long until you find yourself going for the paid songs as well.

GunGirl 2

GunGirl 2 is a Side-Scroller, Action/Adventure Game, created by Paul Schneider. After choosing to become a gun girl or a gun dude (depending on which gender you prefer), a player is then released into a zombie infested world. To put it simply, the aim of this game is to make it through each of its levels, killing zombies-while also evading their touch. Eventually, a player will find the demon responsible for creating the zombie-apocalypse and defeat it. This game also adds the ability to gain power ups and these can be used to upgrade personal attributes. Furthermore, it is important to mention that there is a lot of gore involved in the graphics of this game. This is definitely a selling point for blood-thirsty gamers who love to see the consequences of their attacks, although, I would not recommend this game to anyone below the age of 15.

suteF

SuteF is a complicated and challenging puzzle platformer that will truly delight your senses. It's a cool game where you will need to shove around boxes, avoid laser beams, scale walls and activate switches. Your main goal for doing this would be escape from the "Abyss." This game is actually an updated version of an eerie, but interesting game called Fetus. Of course, suteF is more advanced and fleshed out. It contains new mechanics that will intrigue and challenge both old and new gamers alike. Each puzzle is creatively done, plus the entire game resonates with a semi dark atmosphere without going overboard. This one easily takes the cake as among the best puzzle games of 2010.

Chaser

Chaser is a simple art game that has a straightforward gameplay. All you have to do is chase a blue figure man and keep him in the screen for as long as you can. The longer you can do this, the higher the score you'll get. It's really this basic. The blue dude will constantly run away from you so you have to keep chasing him. You'll start slow but eventually you'll be able to increase your speed while collecting various things as you go along. Even though the game has a simple premise, it's fairly addicting especially once you start off. It can easily consume hours and hours of your time without you noticing. If you're up for this, then give this one a go.

Hazard: The Journey of Life

Hazard: The Journey of Life is a dreamlike new game that takes you on a journey through life. It's a first person game where you don't fire any guns or even have any enemies. Instead, it focuses on taking you to a trip down the many facets and complexities of life. The game was among the Grand Prize Winner in the Make Something Unreal as well as awarded Best Game in Game Connect Asia Pacific. The game features a unique and mindblowing graphic design that places a visual form in the abstract concepts of life. It's an interesting 3D adventure game that requires patience and an open mind in trying to figure out what life wants you to do. Definitely a must-try if you are into challenging experimental games.

In the game, you play Jack; a hobo looking alcoholic who hears talking fishes and zombies. He overhears a woman and his lover plotting murder against her husband. Jack decides he won't accept it and tried to stop them. The game features 90 minutes of surreal gameplay and storyline. If you play this game, keep in mind that the aftereffects might last longer after you're done. It's designed and coded by, Igor Hardy and Alex vand der Wijst while Thomas Regin is credited for creating the soundtrack. Give it a go.

Loop Raccord

Loop Raccord (or Raccord Loop) is a cool and unique game that's a current nominee for the upcoming 2011 IGF Nuovo Award. Developed according to the Experimental Gameplay Project's Neverending theme, the game showcases experimental gameplay that is interesting and captivating. The gameplay is a bit tricky to explain. Basically, you have to find the exact moment in an animated video or film and sync it with the next roll of video. Your goal is to create an infinite loop of movement by connecting every single video clip. Even though it's a bit tricky to do, there's no denying that it's a lot of fun. Created by Nicolai Troshinsky, it's one of the most original games out there. Just a word of warning though, it is a bit addictive but keep in mind that there's really no real end to the game.

GodFinger

GodFinger lets you play "god" by giving you a chance to be in charge of your own world. It's a nifty free game for the iPad, iPhone and iTouch that is quite addictive. The gameplay is similar to the Sims in which you have to create and control your characters. The goal is to gather up as many followers as possible so that plenty of people will come live in your planet. The game is simple but fairly entertaining and very addictive. Most of the objectives unfold on real time so it gives players a chance to grow with the game. Although the premise has been done before, there's no denying the fact that it's still manages to conjure up hordes of players. The game's interactive gameplay, graphics and cute little characters turn this basic game into something so much more. Give it a download.
