From Wikipedia: Terminator Salvation is an upcoming science fiction action film set for release on May 22, 2009. Directed by McG, it is the fourth film in the Terminator franchise and stars Christian Bale as John Connor, Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate Connor, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese and Sam Worthington as the new Terminator Marcus Wright. The film, set in 2018, focuses on the original war between humanity and the Terminator computer network Skynet. It abandons the formula of the series, which had involved Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Model 101 Terminator time-traveling to the present to protect or kill someone of future importance. Among the numerous robotic minions of Skynet are Helena Bonham Carter as Serena and Roland Kickinger as the first T-800. Filming began on May 5, 2008.
The newest addition to ‘The Fast and The Furious‘ family is up for release June 5, 2009. Directed by Justin Li, written by Chris Morgan, starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster.
Great sound, and pretty cool guys, we had a brief chance to contact them, and they were very cool with FrostClick.com posting this album here. Stay tuned in case we have an interview in the future with the band. Listen to the album, it has an excellent flavor to it, I particularly loved the groovy mix of the drums and keyboards, that got complemented by a great bass line and occasional guitar riffs. Totally way more usable as soundtrack for any 70s theme film than actually for porn, at least we think so.
What happens if you put three professional musicians in a recording studio and … have them watch porn movies?
While you probably begin imagining strange situations, these guys made it a creative venture. They created a new soundtrack to the 70ties adult movies they were watching - turning off the sound and just letting their instincts come up with vivid musical imaginations. And it worked.
This music sounds like a combination of Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof and the Emanuelle sequels of adult movies. Feisty and furious with a sugarcoat of sensuality.
This is the first volume of their ventures, played on real instruments and treated to have the authentic sleazy sound of the 70’s.
Allison Crowe recorded “Secrets”, a solo, singer-songwriter album, in 2004. First setting up a home studio, Allison engineered and assisted with production (alongside Rainer Willeke of Canadian r’n'b combo, Soul Station). Allison performs all vocals (lead and harmonies), plays piano, guitar, keyboards and added percussive ‘thumps’ to the collection. Secrets contains a mix of tunes from Allison’s “band days” (some of which are radically redefined), freshly-penned songs, and a couple of choice picks from other artists: Counting Crows’ brooding “Raining in Baltimore” ~ the first song Allison performed when she launched her career as a singer-songwriter; and “Joan of Arc”, a shining exemplar of Leonard Cohen’s poetic brilliance. Guest artists contributing to Secrets are: Del Crowe (guitar); Jo Lundstrom (accordion); Eric Reiswig (Uilleann pipes); and Rainer Willeke (tambourine).
I couldn’t help but think of Norah Jones when I heard this album, there must be some sort of influence or admiration by Allison towards Norah. It had a blues or more heart broken mood to it, I could picture some of these songs as the background score for a romantic comedy on that moment where the main character has been left all broken hearted and eating ice cream alone on her couch while it rains outside. My favorite song was “How Long?”, Loved the melody during the chorus.
Our props to Allison Crowe for not only playing a beautiful piano and a talented vocal performance, but for also playing every other instrument and producing this album.
Rob doesn’t sing…he plays the piano. Music lovers of all ages will be transported to a less complicated, more relaxed world with his collection of original piano melodies that showcase the talent and universal reach of this contemporary solo pianist. Go on a journey of emotion and sample Woods of Chaos, Sophomore Jinx and Return below to absorb a few of Rob’s melodies.
We found Rob’s album to be very relaxing, actually very good to set a nice mood for a romantic ocassion. Excellent to read and have this music in the background, or do some kind of work with your keyboard (at least I found myself sometimes typing to the beat of the piano notes)
Brad Sucks - Meet Brad Sucks, the self-proclaimed “one man band with no fans”. Brad’s brand of ironic rock has spread like wildfire via the Internet in the last several years. His “fan funded, professionally manufactured” album “I don’t know what I’m doing” was presold though his own website, allowing fans to kick in the money needed to press and print CDs at a professional level.
