Quistodio is a free multiplatform parental control program that will help you monitor kids’ online activities. With this you’ll know what sites they visit, what they say and the time it took place as well as block sites they must not go to. You can also use this application to check their email and social media sites.

Depending on the settings you choose, you can use Quistodio to block access to social media as well and use different configurations. What this means is different levels of blocking may be used for a 14 year old and an 8 year old, a nice feature.

First thing you must do is close your browsers before installing Quistodio and then you need to follow the wizard set up process. This might take some time as you need to configure the family settings and create accounts for each child if you have more than one. However you only need to do this once.

Also, the set up wizard contains all the information you need and there are even illustrations to help you out. You also get a video tutorial that explains how to use the program. You can accept the default settings for each account, but it’s easy enough to change these later.

You can also hide Quistodio so children won’t know, and it produces activity logs of kids so you can check the sites your kids visit. Overall, Quistodio is a very good parental control application that does what it should. The fact that it’s free makes it even more ideal.
