One man band, Matt Kurz, knows how keep the drums on a steady beat, the guitars wailing and the bass guitar slappin'. He also knows how to add his signature growl and keep everything interesting. Perhaps the biggest draw is that this guy can actually play all these instruments at once! Debt Sounds is the first album from this multi-intrumentalist/one-man-band who dubs himself, The Matt Kurz One. It's a mix of old school rock and roll with some upbeat indie hipster feel. Each track is quite catchy, making you want to head bob or tap your feet. The record is available as a free download at Quote Unquote Records and it's licensed under creative commons. The Easton Ellises, is a brand new project from musicians Alex and Simon (former Stereomovers). Their latest EP One, released in May of this year under the Enough Records Netlabel, was born straight from the ever growing experience with electronic sounds and an additional touch of pop rock music. Strongly influenced by bands such as The Presets, Kasabian, Phoenix, Cut Copy, Datarock, among others, the band's energetic beats, synths, and some glossy drums will surely keep you close to the speakers, and since the band joined the copyleft movement long ago making their music freely available for download to all of its fans, there is no excuse to turn the volume even louder.

The band is made up of Nathan Warrick, Sonny Alexandre and Seth Mahern. Together, they have released several short albums and hopefully there's more to come from this talented trio.

Frozen Geese is made up of instrumentalists, Dave Lazonby and Graham Baily. Hailing from Leeds, UK, the duo is bent in energizing their listeners with their brand of psychedelic electronic rock. Their sound is both rough and smooth at the same time; providing listeners with a real treat for their senses. The Starseed is their first full record and was released in cassette only back in 2010. It might be weird and unusual to release their compilation in a format that's considered obsolete by many. Luckily, the duo couldn't stop the buzz around their music. They've finally made the record available as a digital download giving plenty of online music lovers a chance to hear this amazing album.

Willy's Big Bang Theory Magic Revue (WBBTMR) is definitely a long name for a band. Luckily, even though their name is a mouthful, their music is quite good. This eclectic rock and roll blues band is actually just made of one permanent member, Will (I'm not sure what this guy's last name is.) He's also a member of garage, punk group, The Wild Dishes. For his WBBTMR side project though, he enlists the help of his musician friends. These friends dropped drum parts, a guitar lick or two etc., and helped create this soaring album. Dust River: Permanent Crisis

Listening to Dust River is like suffering through a 90s de'javu. If you didn't know better, you could easily mistake this French band for a popular, now-defunct grunge genius band named, Nirvana. The only real giveaway is the French sounding vocals as opposed to the garbled words of Cobain. Nevertheless, Permanent Crisis reflects a moody, grunge sound that's reminiscent of the movement when it first came out. The songs feature prominent jangly guitars, a rockin' vibe and plenty of attitude. This is the first EP from the group and so far, they're still trying to shape their sound. It's a pretty good effort though. One that certainly deserves to be heard. Give it a listen.

Automaton: Clarions And Banners

Automaton is an interesting collective from Seattle, USA. Clarions and Banners is their second compilation since they formed back in 1998. Initially known as Automaton Adventure Series, they decided to keep the moniker simple and went with just Automaton for their recent releases. Creating a fusion of alternative indie rock with slight touches of noise, the group admits to being heavily influenced by Sonic Youth and Fugazi but they have slowly deviated and discovered their sound. This is a beautiful record that resonates with charm and energy. Take a listen.
