Just recently I've discovered the The Aspen Institute and it's website. The Institute's mission is to foster creative thinking & leadership for the good of our society and for the past 60 years it's members have been organizing seminars, public conferences and policy programs to spread great ideas and learn from each other. One of the most recent publications from the Institute is the "Identity in the Age of Cloud Computing: The next-generation Internet�s impact on business, governance and social interaction" by J.D. Lasica, who is a long time blogger for Socialmedia.biz, a strategist, journalist & entrepreneur.

Los Sundayers: Eterno domingo

I came across Los Sundayers searching Jamendo for Latin music and I found myself listening to the whole album with great pleasure. One of the albums reviewers, nanito, wrote they've done "a great work indeed blending reggae, dub and ska with elegant cuts and tempo switching, all wrapped around a quite colorful interpretation" and I couldn't agree more.

Cyberduck

I think Cyberduck is the most user-friendly FTP app out there (too bad it is only for Mac). I was introduced to it a few years ago when I was just barely grasping the concept of FTP and I could connect to different servers & upload files within minutes. Currently the software allows you to browse servers using the following protocols: FTP, FTP/TLS, sFTP, WebDav and browse & upload to Amazon and Mosso's Cloud Storage.

Monk Turner: Love Story

Monk Turner�s Love Story is a fascinating concept album. It is a tale of romance that uses the Buddhist Tale of The Ten Bulls as its structure. Each track corresponds to the 10 parts of the classic Buddhist analogy so it will enhance your enjoyment of the album by first reading the tale. However Monk�s songs are entertaining enough on their own. They begin with a rap pastiche titled �Get up, Do Your Thing� which is a bit over-the-top but sweeter ballads like �Wave a White Flag (Surrender)� are on the mark and has a a bit of a Prince influence. My favorite track is the cute 50s tribute titled �We Do This All The Time�. This is a clever and fun album.

SolarWolf is an updated clone of a 1983 hit arcade game SolarFox for Atari 2600. It's available for all operating systems (PC, Mac, Linux, BeOX, Unix platforms) and it's very easy to loose lot's of time playing this game and going back on the memory lane.

The Kyoto Connection

The Kyoto Connection plays chilled out electro-pop mixed with a generous amount of Japanese sounds. Their 2008 release titled The Kyoto Connection II is now free and online. While the Japanese influence was not quite as dominant as I expected it to be, their music is still full of unexpected surprises in the engaging electronic arrangements.
