Davy Long: Babies (Side A)

Downtempo folk acoustic group, Davy Long, brings in sleepy lullabies in "Babies." This acoustic, folk pop album is filled with quiet, lofi tracks with a touch of psychedelia. For the band's first official album, it seems to be treading on the right path. Davy Long compiles music that's ambient, delicate and a bit eclectic. It serves as the perfect mood setter for a lazy, gloomy morning.

Peter Wickstrom Band: Clear Sky

To say that Clear Sky by Peter Wickstrom Band is a great and relaxing album is a complete understatement. According to the band, they wanted to focus on a different approach when it came to music. Instead of creating romantic love songs, they focused on creating songs that tackle "clarity and stability." The resulting album is a beautiful and melodic set of cuts that's well-balanced and definitely relaxing. Its hard not to fall in love with the album especially after a couple of listens.

Abscondo: Fo(u)r Colors

After deciding to move from Seattle to the country of Slovakia, Abscondo, started recording his first few indie pop acoustic tracks. According to the artist, his moniker not only serves as a nice artist name but it also reflects his own lifestyle. Fo(u)r Colors is a 4 track EP that includes songs from his new and upcoming album. while they were sleeping: Pre-EP

Post instrumental Singaporean band quietly showcases their thoughts and ideals. Pre-EP by While They Are Sleeping is a short but melodically sweet sounding EP that touches your senses. Each single is entirely raw and some of the edges are a bit rough but the sound is dreamy and worth every minute. While They Were Sleeping entices you and sucks you into their blissful sound. So why not let it take you away, even for just an instant?

Nikoo: EP

Nikoo is noise. If you love noise pop with verses and choruses sung in chants, then this is the album you've been waiting for. Nikoo is a Dutch band that loves their pop music but only a wee bit louder, okay, much louder. Infused with dirty guitars, drawling vocals and great pop hooks and melodies; this EP certainly makes a good introduction for the band. Definitely not bad for an EP that was recorded in just three nights. Take a listen.

Happiness: Tar… Feathers Split

Tar...Feathers Split is a short 4-track teaser EP from Swedish groups Happiness and Tar...Feathers. Producing and showcasing lo-fi indie pop rock tracks that make you dance and squirm like a psyched up indie geek; these two bands sure know how to get you up and moving. Not only do these two groups share the same band members but they also have a penchant for creating 80s dance rock music, with a tad more funk and way better compared to the oldies. The actual album is worth checking out as it features 5 tracks from the Tar...Feathers and about 6 songs from Happiness. For the meantime, this short 4 track teaser EP is a great listen and serves as the perfect introduction to these talented bands.
