Angry Monkey

The overwhelming success of Rovio's Angry Birds has just inspired developers to bring in something close to the franchise. There are numerous apps on iOS and Android that go all out and copy the Angry Birds game. So here it is, another feather to the cap and this one is called Angry Monkey, developed by Game Boss. Yes, the entire storyboard of the game revolves about an angry gorilla who is furious about his banana being taken away and he will stop at nothing to get it back. Deja Vu? No, its just that, in Angry Birds the Pigs rob the eggs of the birds, and in return the birds get angry.

iSplume

If you're looking for a different type of balloon busting game, iSplume might just be the game to try out next. Originally offered for sale, the game is now available as a free download on the Mac App Store. This cool puzzle game from Flash Bang Studios has gained quite a lot of fans since its release. Unlike regular puzzle bobble types, this one makes use of quirky little creatures called splumes. The objective is a bit similar to the original though. You have to position at least three similar colored splumes in order for them to pop. Of course, there are additional sets of rules that help make this one a little bit more interesting than its counterparts.

Racing Moto

All adrenaline junkies, its time to rev up your machines and hit the road. Racing Moto-High has arrived to burn the Android device screens. An app with an average rating of 4.4 on the Android Market - you really cannot go wrong with this one. Coming straight from DroidHen games, a developer with quite a handful of Android titles under it's belt; Racing Moto nails it with its fast-paced action in an easy-to-play format. The graphics of the game are something to really talk about, with multiple in-game options making the game very interesting.

Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory!

Attention all FPS lovers. Its time to pick-up your weapons, choose your allies, and gear up for war. We are talking about the iconic FPS, Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Developed by Activision, the same developer who has churned out impressive titles such as Driver, Driver 3, Call Of Duty series, Crash Bandicoot series, just to name a few. Enemy Territory was supposed to be an expansion pack to the RTCW game series, but a problem owing to the single-player aspect led to Enemy Territory being released as a free and open-source standalone game on 29th May, 2003.

A Monster Ate My Homework

Hailed as the next "Angry Birds," A Monster Ate My Homework is an addictive physics game that's charming and tons of fun to play. It's similar to those games you used to play at the carnival where you would knock down stacks of bottles by throwing a ball at it. The only difference is that you get to play this at the comfort of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Add to the mix colorful graphics, angry looking blocks and a really fun gameplay and you have yourself a winner. The game features 80 unique levels and an amazing 3D environment where you can easily throw the ball from any angle.

Unpleasant Horse

Occasionally, we crave for games that we can enjoy playing without breaking too much of a sweat or frying too many brain cells at one time. Unpleasant Horse easily fits into this category. Although it initially got into the "bad graces" of Apple the first time around, it seems they had a change of heart and agreed to release the game. What made it so controversial you ask? Well, not quite sure. They must have found a cute little evil pony/horse wrecking havoc and killing all the other ponies a bit offensive. The game is from 4th & Battery, the edgier, more experimental division of your favorite wholesome gaming guru, Popcap.

Xonotic

A direct successor of the Nexuiz Project, Xonotic is a free, open source (GPL) shooter game that serves as the updated and much improved version of the former. After internal disagreements plagued the Nexuiz Project, several developers took a stand and vowed to remake the game from scratch. Creating one that's even better and ensuring that it'll remain free with an open source license. The game was created by a team of "players, developers, and artists who enjoy learning and refining their skills through contribution and collaboration with other players from around the globe." Thanks to this effort, this forked version features much of what gamers could hope for. With stunning graphics, engaging gameplay, great maps and a host of other features; Xonotic is slowly shaping up to becoming an excellent game.

Pumpkins vs. Monsters

Pumpkins vs. Monsters is a free Android game that will easily win your heart. Hailed by many as among the most addictive Android games ever released, it's certainly a game worth looking into. Developed by Runner Games Studios, this is the same team that has created other popular Android games like Doodle Dash, Tiny Robots and Alien Invasion just to name a few. For Pumpkins vs. Monsters, the game pits you against a hoard of monsters. Pretty much, your pumpkin garden and pumpking throwing skills is your best defense against keeping these monsters at bay.

The Unicated

The Unicated is a short adventure game that served as an entry for the monthly AGS competition. The contest encouraged indie developers to create a game in less than a month following the rules set by the previous winner of the competition. For this season, the theme was "evil twin." Appropriately enough, The Unicated is about two conjoined twins struggling to prevent doctors from separating them. It's main creators include Duzz (Wintermute Studios,) with music from PlantMonster and TheShanx on background art. The game is simple but highly entertaining and the graphics are definitely something to check out.
