Replica Island

Replica Island is touted by many as "THE" Android game to have, that is if you haven't got it yet. The game is a free, open source game that's available for Android users. It features retro graphics that will definitely get any old-school fanboy lusting after it. Done in 2D and in the same vein as Megaman and Mario, the game is packed with entertainment and will definitely keep you busy for hours on end. The game was originally released back in March 2010. Now, it has garnered quite a following and has solidified its status as one of the most entertaining games in the Android market. There are 40 levels in the game so make sure to clear up a good portion of your afternoon before playing. Because trust me, this is addictive. Give it a go.

TowerClimb (Davioware)

TowerClimb is an interesting game created as an entry for GameJolt's Rogue contest. In the game, you will be playing some random explorer whose goal is to reach the top of an endless tower. The levels are randomly generated so you never know what you are getting. The game is done using Construct. Gameplay is basic, all you have to do is climb, climb and climb some more. You simply have to watch out from the pitfalls of climbing without a harness and of course, other things that might be waiting for you downstairs in case you do fall.

Probability 0

Probability 0 will definitely have you at your wits end. The game is a downward platform game that surprisingly has very little to do with probability but offers tons of options for you to experiment and explore. Levels of the game are randomly generated so you never get the same thing twice. Well, at least not all the time. The game was created by Droqen, a TIGForums member. The idea behind the game is that instead of a health bar, your status is represented by a number. You start off in the double digits and as you descend and fight off baddies; the number decreases. It goes down considerably if you take a hit. It's your job to stay alive, fight off the enemies and keep the number from hitting a zero. This simply means that your probability of staying alive is zilch. Give it a try, it's definitely worth your while.

Cestos

Winning in Cestos Full means you have to be the last man standing. The game is an action multi-player that might seem simple but actually more complicated than it lets on. It's considered as one of the first multi-player Android games out there and has been winning tons of fans ever since its release. The game works on iPhone and pretty much any Android platform. It's easy to like and works great if you want to socialize and play with friends. The current version available is version 1.5 and features added logging. The best part about this game though is that it's offered completely free. What are you waiting for? Give it a try and see if you have what it takes to be the last man standing?

Kruunu

Kruunu is a nice little platformer that was released on January 18th. This is the first project for Finnish game developer, Jukio Kallio, after going into game development full time. The game lets you play as a tiny blue character whose goal is to climb a tower and take the crown. Why are you aiming to climb this really high tower just to receive this crown? Apparently, elders in the land believe that whoever gets it will become the next ruler. Hence, your adventure and trials begin. Even though Kallio admits that the game was simply a part time project done in a span of months, it doesn't look like it was rushed or done haphazardly. It's actually a neat little platformer that almost anybody can enjoy.

0space

0space is a cool game that was developed for TIGSource's versus-themed competition. This amazing game can accommodate between 2-4 players at any one time on the same PC. It was created by Beau Blyth and definitely a game worth trying. The game is still in its beta stages but it has been slowly gaining a solid fanbase. It only features 8 maps right now but there are plans to expand, eventually. It also gives players a good range of deathmatch options, amazing gameplay and so much more. This fun multiplayer space shooter is available for free download on Windows. Head for the Teknopants website and get to gaming!

Dropship

Originally available for sale on the iPhone store, Ngmoco has finally changed their minds and made Dropship available as a free download. Praised by many as "one of the best shooter games" on the device; it's certainly won its fair share of fans. The game allows you to test your skills as a dropship captain; ferrying human passengers using tractor beams. Graphics feature a colorful Tron-esque world of blocks and beams. This is the fourth game from the developers and it seems that they definitely got it down to pat. It's an excellent game that's certainly worth checking out. Grab the download and start playing!

Assassin Blue

Assassin Blue is a cool action-platformer done by Banov. Like most games done by this cool developer, the game is quite interesting and fun to play. You get to control a little dude, named Blue, and traverse 12 levels, fighting and slashing enemies. Some of these enemies include dinosaurs in the sand, by the way. The entire game is done in 2D and features really tight gameplay and funny dialogue. Like most of Banov's games (Dubloon, Wolf or Crazy Over Goo), this one is extremely interesting and definitely worth your while. It has tons of awesome sword and boss fights as well as a good number of unlockable levels that you can enjoy. Go ahead and download the game for free right here or head on over to Banov's website to get it.

The Legend of Edgar

If you are a fan of old school arcade games, then it's not hard to notice that The Legend of Edgar is heavily inspired by the iconic game, Legend of Zelda. It's not just the graphics that reflect the Nintendo title, but also the gameplay. The Legend of Edgar was created by Parallel Realities, same developer for Blob Wars which was featured here in Frostclick last August. It's the latest release from the crew. The game is an adventure platformer that lets you play as Edgar on a quest to find his father. Join our hero in this cool, freeware adventure game. Download the album in the developer's website or hit the Download Game link on the upper left.
